ZAPT Zine and Abang-guard
Abang-guard is a collaboration with artist Jevijoe Vitug, in which we create installations with other artists that explore themes and relations of precarity regarding immigration.
POC-POC POP UP! (at Public Storage, LIC)
POC-POC POP-UP is a Bliss on Bliss x Abang-guard collab addressing displacement and value. The gallery shop in the storage space features wearable art and luxury goods and is accessible by appointment only. A hi-low cross between Filipino ukay-ukay stalls and designer couture shops, the work questions and reclaims the cultural designation of value as both high-end and mass produced goods are manufactured from the same outsourced countries and factories.

LA GUARDIA (at Flux Factory)
Resembling a storage niche, this installation by a group of POC museum guards addresses immigration, invisibility, and labor. As part of the peripheral operations of the institution, their presence is negligible in cultural and academic conversations about art. By utilizing the language of Abstraction, they question its aesthetic emphasis on transcendent expressions and move the dialogue towards the immediate precariousness of the immigrant body.
